Assemble supplies for surgical procedures
Set up and maintain the sterile field
Pass surgical instruments
Assist with the in-room preparation
Coordinate care for the surgical case, surgeon, nurses, and other team members
Ensure availability of appropriate instrumentation, supplies, and equipment for assigned cases
Responsible for the preparation of the Operating Rooms
Ensure that the operating rooms are case-ready for the following day's cases
Exhibit practical knowledge of OR equipment, including maintenance and safety aspects
May perform other duties as assigned

High School GED
Graduate of a NBSTSA-accredited or a NCCT-approved Surgical Technology school/program
Surgical/scrub tech training through the military
Minimum of two years on-the-job training (OJT) surgical/scrub experience at an acute care facility or ambulatory surgery center
Ability to follow oral instruction, read, and write
