Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area
Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g. academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of the MDT
Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier to optimal treatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
Collaborate with Clin ops on trials from feasibility to execution
Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences
Requirements
Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP)
2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
Excellent project management ability
Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment
Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues
Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment
Ability to travel (40-60% by car, train and plane domestic)
