Leads strategic sourcing activities for complex small and medium initiatives
Coordinates with Strategic Sourcing leadership to conduct competitive sourcing processes for direct and indirect commodities and services
Analyzes responses, performs cost benefit analysis, develops reports/presentations and presents/makes recommendations for initiatives with moderate risk and value
Conducts competitive sourcing and negotiation process on initiatives with moderate risk and value
Determines most favorable quotes and/or negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal price, terms and conditions
Responsible for supporting the contracting and value validation process in the supply chain organization
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or clinical discipline
5 (five) years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Comprehensive knowledge of data analysis, purchasing practice, pricing structure, products and services, vendor relationships, and market analysis for trends
Understands Lean Manufacturing/Operations and technical problem-solving concepts and techniques
Strong analytical skills including ability to construct and execute multiple complex analyses (e.g. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Economic Value to Customer (EVC), Net Present Value (NPV) simultaneously
Advanced Excel, Word and Power-point skills required
Knowledge of an ERP application is preferred
Strong problem solving skills with ability to research problems and present findings
