Support general pediatric physicians within the Division of Academic Pediatrics in providing clinical care in a dynamic outpatient setting
Triage care and manage tasks related to general pediatric patients including paperwork, orders and scheduling
Provide specialized patient care and education for patients receiving treatments and examinations according to established procedures
Perform and document assessment of the patient and family including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual and environmental data
Direct and provide patient care: administering medication, performing procedures, and monitoring patient status
Provide appropriate counsel and education to patient and family regarding disease process and symptom management
Maintain medical records requiring timely recording of patient information
Consult with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care as needed
Participate in quality improvement activities
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Completion of National Specialty Certification relevant to the area where working, if applicable
Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications, those without a skills assessment component, are not sufficient to meet the BLS requirements)
Advanced clinical skills (e.g., PALS, ACLS, IV Certification, Bone Marrow Biopsy)
