Pharmacy Technician I – Outpatient Pharmacy

Role Overview

• Assist and support the pharmacist in the day-to-day dispensing operation of patient care
• Gather the appropriate medication, operate the automated counting machine, and work the filling queue within the dispensing software
• Compounding medications and operating the point-of-sale system
• Provide general phone or face-to-face customer service
• Maintain appropriate and adequate stock in all pharmacy areas
• Receive and ship medications
• Prioritize work based on immediate need and rapidly changing workload
• Collaborate as a team member to efficiently perform day-to-day work
• Assist the Technician II and Technician III as it relates to day-to-day dispensing functions, tasks, and job duties

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED PLUS Arkansas Pharmacy Technician License
• One (1) year pharmacy technician experience relevant to hiring area (i.e. retail, hospital, etc.)
• One (1) year work experience
