You'll be the Group's technical accounting expert, partnering with senior Finance leaders, commercial teams, and external auditors to provide authoritative guidance on complex transactions, acquisitions, and evolving accounting standards.

Requirements
Qualified ACA (or equivalent) with a background in Big 4 audit or advisory and significant post-qualified experience in a senior technical accounting, group reporting, or similar leadership role;
Expert knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9, IFRS 13 and IFRS 3, with proven experience applying complex accounting standards;
Experience within the energy, utilities or commodity trading sector, with a strong understanding of financial instruments, commodity contracts, fair value accounting, and the sector-specific accounting challenges these present;
Excellent management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, prepare robust technical accounting papers and policies, lead discussions with external auditors, and drive consistent accounting standards across a global organisation.
