Design and development of microwave components and systems for mmWave measurement technology and remote weather sensing across a variety of environments, from ground-based applications to space missions
Conceptualization and optimization of circuit designs using simulation tools such as AWR, MWO, CST and HFSS
Review and validation of assemblies through commissioning, testing and metrological verification to ensure compliance with specifications
Independent execution of customer-specific projects in the field of measurement technology
Responsibilities range from concept development, technology selection, circuit design, MMIC characterization and integration to documentation, test planning and production qualification
Close collaboration with the manufacturing and technology development teams at RPG and R&S and serving as the point of contact for microwave circuit technology, including related physical and technological issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on high-frequency/RF engineering or equivalent professional experience and practical knowledge in high-frequency measurement technology
Experience with CAE tools such as Microwave-Office/Studio, CST, HFSS or ADS
Strong skills in analog RF circuit design
Programming skills (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio, LabVIEW) are preferred
Independent, goal-oriented working style and strong organizational skills
Ability to work in a team, creativity and excellent communication skills
Very good written and spoken English.
