Role Overview
Operate automatic overhead cranes from remote control desk, remote control and crane cabin
Operate the crane in manual mode, semi-automatic mode and automatic mode
Monitor ground safety equipment’s and control access authorization on the crane working area
Perform troubleshooting for basic failures and participate in troubleshoot together with maintenance for automatic cranes
Perform minor repairs and adjustments
Interact with HMI systems to identify equipment status, recognize and troubleshoot alarms, monitor crane operation and define setup and operation modes for cranes
Utilize Level 2 systems for operation, monitoring system performance, identifying improvement areas, and applying best practices
Maintain detailed records of actions, manual interactions and adjustments on automated cranes and systems
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies, adapt to evolving industry practices, and contribute to process enhancements
Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and organizational protocols
Requirements
Proven experience or certification in automation, robotics, electrical, data analysis, technical fields
Experience working in an industrial environment preferably in a steel mill or similar
Ability to work well within cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
Experience operating overhead cranes, preferably in a steel mill or similar industrial environment
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Familiarity with L2 WMS, L1 systems (including HMI screens, positioning monitoring with encoders and radars, and wireless network), and CCTV camera operations
