Provides engineering/technical expertise in identifying, analyzing and resolving complex EMS problems
Conducts engineering and related studies with full technical responsibility for planning and coordinating complex projects
Keeps abreast of new developments, technologies, procedures and equipment
Works with IT and EMS teammates to ensure proper cyber security and regulatory compliance
Provides leadership in the development of corporate positions on technical matters
Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence and documentation
Conducts engineering and related studies; completes non-routine engineering projects with minimal oversight

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Six (6) years minimum required related experience
Extensive experience with General Electric Grid EMS/DMS systems
In Depth knowledge of NERC CIP cyber security standards
Broad experience with Electric Transmission systems
Comprehensive experience with real time computer systems, including programming languages (C++, FORTRAN, etc.)
Experience with scripting languages (PERL, etc.)
Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
Experience in the utility industry
Excellent written and oral communication skills
