Associate Director – Curriculum Development, Online Education

Role Overview

• Lead curriculum development for online graduate and continuing education programs
• Sustain a culture of pedagogical excellence and value faculty expertise
• Shape assessment strategy for graduate courses
• Coach multidisciplinary faculty with custom pedagogical solutions
• Design learning activities to build interprofessional community
• Supervise staff and maintain teaching assistants roster
• Lead opportunities for external specialists to supplement faculty expertise
• Build relationships within Penn to serve as an educational resource

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent work experience
• 5-7 years of experience (7+ preferred) in course development for graduate students and/or professionals
• Proficiency in online instructional design
• Higher education instruction (preferred)
• Practice in design-thinking methodology (preferred)
• Familiarity with Canvas (preferred)
• Broad health care knowledge (preferred)
