About this role
Role Overview
- Participate in the full application lifecycle with a focus on developing new features and delivering value to users
- Develop, test, integrate, and deploy backend, frontend, and API solutions
- Ensure maintenance and high availability of GHGSat’s web services for both internal and external users
- Collaborate with developers, designers, QA, and Product Owners to design and build new features
- Note: This role requires participation in an on-call rotation shared with other team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience designing and delivering production web applications that provide real user value
- Strong experience with Python and TypeScript in a web environment
- Experience designing and deploying cloud services on AWS
- Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes
- Experience with databases and ETL systems, particularly PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, CI/CD pipelines, and technical documentation.
