About this role
Role Overview
- Design and build highly scalable and secure backend services
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security for high-volume workloads
- Design and maintain robust CI pipelines (GitLab CI)
- Debug and optimize application's performance
- Operate, monitor, and optimize distributed systems in AWS
- Lead initiatives to improve the reliability and performance of distributed systems
- Apply a deep understanding of RTC / VoIP architectures and protocols
- Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical system issues
Requirements
- Solid experience building backend services
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD (or similar)
- Proficient in working in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience operating and optimizing systems in AWS production environments
- Understanding of RTC / VoIP architectures and protocols (SIP, RTP)
- Familiar with open-source SIP/RTC technologies (FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Asterisk)
- Exposure to media servers, signaling flows, or real-time communications debugging
- Stay current with modern development practices and tooling
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
