Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with benign hematologic disorders, including but not limited to: Anemia, Coagulation disorders, Thrombocytopenia and thrombocytosis, and Ordering blood/blood products.
Conduct detailed history and physical assessments, interpret diagnostic studies, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans.
Perform and/or assist with procedures within scope (e.g., bone marrow biopsies, therapeutic phlebotomy, infusion-related care).
Collaborate closely with hematologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated care.
Lead and support Patient Blood Management (PBM) initiatives, including Optimization of hemoglobin and iron stores prior to procedures, Minimization of unnecessary transfusions, and Implementation of evidence-based transfusion thresholds.
Provide specialized management for patients who decline blood products (e.g., bloodless care pathways).
Requirements
Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree for Nurse Practitioner applicants.
Master’s degree for Physician Assistant applicants.
Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided.
Certificate of Authority to practice.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
