Develop and implement revenue cycle strategies tailored to O&P services, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and payer guidelines
Lead and mentor managers and staff across billing, collections, and insurance authorization teams
Collaborate with clinical leadership to align revenue cycle processes with patient care and operational goals
Oversee centralized insurance authorization team to ensure timely and accurate pre-approvals for O&P devices and services
Establish workflows for verifying coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, and managing payer documentation requirements
Monitor authorization turnaround times and implement process improvements to reduce delays
Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, coding, billing, claims submission, denial management, and collections
Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements specific to O&P services
Track and report KPIs such as AR days, authorization approval rates, and denial trends
Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial performance metrics
Analyze revenue trends and identify opportunities for increased reimbursement and reduced write-offs
Implement technology solutions and automation to streamline authorization and billing processes
Standardize workflows across clinics for consistency and efficiency
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred)
Minimum 10 years in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
Experience in Orthotic & Prosthetic, DME (Durable Medical Equipment) or other medical ancillary fields strongly preferred
Proven success managing centralized insurance authorization teams
Deep knowledge of O&P billing, coding, and payer requirements; strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; proficiency in revenue cycle technology platforms and insurance portals
