Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual and environmental aspects
Collects and analyzes data from the medical record to coordinate patient care
Directs and/or provides patient care, including administering medication and monitoring patient status
Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/family regarding disease process and symptom management
Maintains medical records requiring timely recording of patient information
Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated
Demonstrates cost-effective work habits by setting priorities and managing supplies and equipment
Assists the health care provider with examinations, procedures, and prescription refills
Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
Engages in professional contributions including presentations, mentorships, committee participation, and community service
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Completion of National Specialty Certification relevant to the area where working, if applicable
Current Missouri RN licensure in accordance with Compact Act
Basic Life Support certification (Online BLS certifications without a skills assessment component not sufficient)
Advanced clinical skills (e.g., PALS, ACLS, IV Certification, Bone Marrow Biopsy)
Clinical Specialty experience (2 Years)
