Role Overview
- Lead the work of Medical Assistants in a clinical operation
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms
- Obtain vital signs, conduct EKGs, complete phlebotomy, and verify medications
- Assist with examinations, lab tests, and procedures
- Direct patient flow and communication
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely manner
- Maintain required HIPAA compliance and participate in quality improvement activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent certification or combination of education and/or experience
- Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with three years of related work experience
- Medical Assistant credentials from in-person proctored exams from specified certifying bodies
- Ability to show proof of Medical Assistant certification/registration within a specified timeframe
- Basic Life Support certification with skills assessment component
