Coordinate the commercial real estate appraisal review process for assigned national portfolios and warehouse line engagements, serving as the central point of contact across business lines, credit partners, and the appraisal review team.
Manage intake, assignment, and workflow tracking of appraisals across multi-property, multi-market portfolios to ensure consistent execution and timely delivery.
Engage qualified appraisers and order appraisals for complex commercial real estate property types and transactions spanning national portfolio mandates.
Facilitate the review of appraisal reports for compliance with bank policy and procedures, USPAP, and federal and state regulations, partnering with reviewers to resolve deficiencies in a timely and professional manner.
Prioritize and monitor pending and active reviews across the portfolio pipeline to meet lending deadlines and service level expectations.
Administer and coordinate the external vendor panel supporting national portfolio assignments, including engagement, performance monitoring, and issue escalation.
Consult and advise Bank staff regarding real estate appraisal policy and procedures, state and federal appraisal regulations, and portfolio-level review protocols.
Maintain coordination productivity, throughput, and quality control measurements in line with department benchmarks.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically more than eight years of applicable experience
Ten or more years of experience in real estate appraisal activities with significant commercial appraisal experience.
State Certified General License
Advanced knowledge of banking regulations governing appraisals and Real Estate lending activities and appraisal valuation methodology and techniques
MAI or AI-GRS designation or candidacy
Well-developed organizational planning skills
Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
Considerable understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
Strong analytical, process facilitation and project management skills
Effective presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Effective relationship building and negotiation skills
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
