Independently manage and develop the general ledger accounting for DACH entities within an international corporate environment
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP
Responsible for month-end close and ensuring high-quality, timely reporting across multiple entities
Prepare VAT returns and coordinate statutory reporting with internal and external stakeholders
Execute and manage intercompany reconciliations and contribute to group consolidation
Accountable for complex journal entries, including accruals and provisions
Act as a central interface to FP&A, Tax and Group Accounting and support continuous optimization of accounting processes
Requirements
Successfully completed training as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or a degree in business administration with a focus on finance/accounting
Several years of professional experience in financial accounting within an international corporate environment, ideally in software companies or in IT
or software-driven project businesses
Solid knowledge of HGB and US GAAP
Proven experience in general ledger accounting and in financial closing processes (monthly, quarterly and annual close)
Experience with intercompany reconciliations and consolidation is an advantage
Good knowledge of VAT and statutory reporting
Confident use of ERP systems and standard office applications
Structured, independent and precise working style
Strong hands-on mentality and high sense of responsibility
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders (e.g., FP&A, Tax, Group Accounting)
Business-fluent German (negotiation-level) and good English skills, both spoken and written
