Build and maintain the cloud infrastructure and self-service tooling that engineering teams rely on to deliver software for a large federal enterprise cloud platform
Help meet scope, schedule, and delivery requirements while improving the developer experience across the platform
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS) that supports hosted applications and improves the broader developer experience
Develop reusable infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) modules so teams can provision standardized, compliant infrastructure
Build and maintain standardized, paved-path CI/CD tooling and pipelines
Provision and operate Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) infrastructure and cluster add-ons
Integrate tooling to satisfy non-functional requirements such as quality thresholds, security vulnerabilities, and static analysis
Complete cloud infrastructure and automated deployment tasks, expanding ownership over time
Collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify platform tools and services
Work with government partners and application teams to ship software that meets security, SLA, and performance requirements
Support recruiting efforts by evaluating exercises and assisting with interviews
Requirements
Bachelor's and 5+ years of experience; relevant experience may be substituted for education
Proficient with at least one infrastructure-as-code tool (Terraform preferred)
Background in key DevOps concepts: containerization, networking, virtualization, and CI/CD
Hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust / suitability determination
Prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs (preferred)
Experience with Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) in production (preferred)
Familiarity with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and zero-trust architecture (preferred)
