Registered Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with various respiratory conditions
• Conduct pulmonary function screenings using spirometry equipment
• Provide patient education regarding respiratory equipment and medications
• Administer respiratory treatments such as albuterol
• Conduct diagnostic testing, including measuring lung capacity
• Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies as necessary
• Collaborate effectively with Pulmonologist and healthcare teams

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) preferred
• Experience in performing spirometry testing
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of respiratory equipment and medications
