Oversee quantity surveying and commercial management across projects from contract award to completion
Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors, taking responsibility for their commercial performance
Provide commercial and contractual advice to Sales and Projects teams
Coach and develop your team, including apprentices, ensuring successful financial outcomes while mitigating company risk
Support growth strategy and take ownership of major projects in your region
Manage change effectively, make confident decisions, and work comfortably with ambiguity
Balance multiple priorities using strong planning, organisational, and leadership skills
Promote continuous learning within your team
Collaborate internally and externally to share best practice
Manage change processes, identify claims, calculate value entitlements, and ensure contracts are administered correctly
Provide ongoing commercial support to your team and act as an escalation point for clients
Requirements
Ideally 5-7 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor on non-framework agreements on projects ranging from £100k to £10m
Proven track record within Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) environments ideally including any of this areas: HAVC&R, Security, Fire detection / suppression, BMS / Controls
Strong understanding of commercial and financial risk
Proven ability to lead large commercial projects
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, including explaining technical details to non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills and independent decision-making
RICS accredited or working towards accreditation.
