The EV Charging Projects Engineer will be responsible for all engineering and construction phases for the deployment of charging stations in France, from contract signature through commissioning, reporting to the France Projects Manager.
Support the French team in project deployment regarding permits, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
Evaluate CapEx and OpEx for fast charging stations.
Coordinate with the Commercial Development team during origination, supporting negotiations and performing technical analyses, and follow up on deployment during the construction phase.
Perform technical site visits as required.
Coordinate with engineering and installation partners (EPCs) for all aspects of EV charging infrastructure projects, including:
Review and analysis of technical documentation to assess site and project feasibility.
Advise the Commercial Development management on potential technical constraints or issues during construction and operation, and recommend the best technological solution for project proposals.
Manage tender processes for procurement of charging stations from national and international suppliers.
Liaise with network operators and competent authorities on permitting and regulatory compliance.
Create and issue tenders to potential EPC subcontractors for large projects, define evaluation criteria and assist in selecting the awarded contractor.
Manage all interactions with ENEDIS (or other distribution system operators) regarding the grid connection of charging stations.
Oversee all outsourced engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities (project documentation, permits, procurement, construction, grid connection, site visits).
Coordinate all stakeholders (clients, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities).
Lead the commissioning of EV chargers with support from the Operations & Maintenance department.
Requirements
University degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing urban electrical installation projects (MV and LV / HTA and BT), ideally in a project development context with proven multi-project management experience.
Experience with fast charging stations in LV and MV is highly desirable.
Electrical certification/habilitation is a plus.
Deep knowledge of electrical standards, EV charging infrastructure and permitting procedures.
Fluent in French and English (part of the process will be in English, including a 5–10 minute initial exchange).
