Role Overview
- Leads and mentors junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance
- Designs and implements complex software solutions
- Continuously identifies opportunities to reduce technical debt
- Collaborates effectively with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders
- Creates clear, concise, and comprehensive technical specifications
- Evaluates and recommends new technologies for adoption
- Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant to the role
- Ensures software quality by identifying and rectifying defects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field required
- 5-7 years of experience in a relevant programming language and basic software development principles
- Front end experience required, including Jutro, React, and Java
- Experience working on complex projects, and demonstrably leading and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers required
- Guidewire experience or certification a plus.
