About this role
Role Overview
You are responsible for acquiring, managing and expanding customer relationships in a technical and demanding market.
You will play a central role in sales and make a significant contribution to the company's revenue growth.
New customer acquisition: Identifying and approaching potential B2B customers, particularly in the process and plant engineering industries.
Sales of technical products/solutions: You understand customers' technical requirements and offer tailored solutions from our portfolio.
Sales strategy and market analysis: Develop and implement sales strategies, conduct market analyses and monitor competitors to identify growth opportunities.
Contract negotiations: Independently conduct complex contract negotiations at decision-maker level and convince by your negotiation skills and technical expertise.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering and marketing teams to accurately implement customer requirements.
Targeted revenue responsibility: Responsible for achieving sales targets and revenue results and reporting to sales management.
Trade shows and events: Participate in relevant trade fairs, conferences and events to represent the company and products and generate new business opportunities.
Requirements
Professional experience: At least 5 years of experience selling technical products and solutions from the software sector, preferably in the process industry and/or plant engineering.
Technical education: Degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or equivalent technical qualification.
Sales experience: Solid experience in acquiring and managing customers in a technical environment, ideally in a similar industry.
Strong communication skills: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and to capture complex customer needs and translate them into solutions.
Negotiation skills: Excellent negotiation abilities, capable of building long-term partnerships as well as closing short-term deals.
Results orientation: Driven and self-motivated salesperson able to achieve revenue and growth targets independently.
Willingness to travel: Prepared to travel regularly for customer meetings and trade shows.
Language skills: Very good German and English, spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage.
