Support the development and articulation of the company's corporate strategy, long-range plans and market positioning.
Conduct competitive intelligence, market sizing, and landscape assessments across e-NG, green hydrogen, green gases and adjacent energy transition sectors.
Build and stress-test business cases for new ventures, markets and/or strategic initiatives.
Prepare high-quality strategic analyses and materials for the CEO and senior leadership team.
Develop and maintain financial models for business planning and project planning, assessing business opportunities, project and equity financings and valuations.
Support end-to-end execution of strategic transactions including project financings, joint ventures, partnerships and M&A.
Track and manage pipeline of strategic opportunities and monitor developments in the sector.
Prepare transaction materials including investment memos and management/Board presentations.
Draft and refine Board materials, investor presentations, and strategic narrative documents/.
Provide analytical and research support directly to the CEO on key strategic priorities and external engagements.
Support fundraising processes and maintain relationships with financial and strategic partners.
Requirements
2–6 years of relevant professional experience; we value quality of experience over years served.
Background from one or more of: investment banking (M&A, infrastructure, project finance or energy coverage), management consulting (strategy or corporate finance focus), or a corporate role in strategic / corporate finance, FP&A with strategic scope, or corporate development.
Prior exposure to the energy, infrastructure or industrials sectors is advantageous; a genuine interest in the energy transition is essential.
Experience supporting preparing investment materials, or working in a deal or project environment is preferred.
Exceptional financial modelling skills: you build models from scratch, think structurally, and know how to make them usable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability: comfortable breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into clear frameworks.
Excellent written and verbal communication: you can distil complex analysis into crisp, compelling narratives for senior audiences.
High attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture.
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Collaborative team player who thrives in a lean, high-trust organisation.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
An MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is a plus but not required.
Fluency in English is required (working language of the company).
Dutch, German, French or other European languages are a plus.
