Partner with subject matter experts to identify target audience training needs and define learning objectives.
Design assessments and evaluation instruments to measure learning effectiveness and ROI.
Stay current on L&D trends, including using AI tools for content curation and rapid prototyping.
Establish project scope, manage review cycles, and negotiate competing priorities among project stakeholders to keep development on schedule.
Apply inclusive design frameworks and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to ensure all learning materials are culturally responsive and fully accessible (WCAG 2.1 compliant) for a diverse audience.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related role.
Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline 360/Rise).
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, design thinking).
Experience using artificial intelligence (AI) to create engaging learning offering.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience designing for diverse and accessible audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of work samples.
Experience working in a mission-driven or nonprofit organization, preferred.
