Apply knowledge of healthcare and data management to analyze clinical data, identify trends and report them.
Abstract and maintain comprehensive data from the clinical records according to established clinical/regulatory requirements.
Mitigate definitional issues, and chart documentation discrepancies to ensure timely completion and proper validation checks for a high level of interrater reliability.
Disseminates data from the medical record accurately reflecting governing body’s rules, algorithms and protocols.
Supports collaboration with internal team members and external vendors to ensure inter-rater reliability as well as data accuracy and timely submission.
Contribute to specialized committee or work group meetings in support of process improvements to enhance patient outcomes.
Identify new processes of improvement, opportunities and trends.
Review and resolve any clinical data discrepancies or outliers on completed abstracts.
Report findings/opportunities/trends to management levels.
