Role Overview
- Ensure the financial monitoring of chartering contracts.
- Be aware of and apply the financial terms (payment deadlines) of the charter parties.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Schedule charter hire payment deadlines.
- Verify invoices together with negotiators and approve payments.
- Monitor collection of charter receivables.
- Follow up on third-party debtors.
- Resolve financial disputes with shipowners.
- Handle strategic financial files for Management.
- Produce reports and statistics.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Management.
- 2 years' professional experience in the shipping industry is a plus.
- Fluent in English.
- Proficient with IT and office productivity tools.
- Meticulous, well organized and responsive.
- Strong team spirit.
