Performs a variety of duties in the GI Unit related to maintaining a safe, efficient and supportive environment for patients undergoing procedures
Assists nurses and physicians in the care of patients
Procures and maintains equipment and supplies in collaboration with the Clinical Leader
Cleans and disinfects endoscopes using established guidelines
Greets patients and families in a professional manner
Stocks and sets up rooms for the next day
Communicates patient information to licensed nurse in a timely manner
Assists nursing staff to provide support to ensure efficient and confidential flow of information

High School Diploma or Equivalent required
1 year prior experience as nursing assistant or medical technician preferred
Staff adheres to all I C.A.R.E. Standards.
Basic clerical skills such as organizing paperwork, filing, answering telephones, paging.
Restocking patient rooms.
Ordering/Organizing stock.
Cleaning designated equipment.
Providing safe and accurate transport for patients/supplies/specimens.
