Conceptualize, design, and develop robotic and automated systems from initial concept to production.
Perform detailed structural analysis (static, dynamic, thermal) of mechanical components and assemblies using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other analytical methods.
Design and analyze deployable systems and mechanisms, ensuring reliable operation in harsh environments.
Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design and analysis processes.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and analysis
Proven experience in robotics, automation, or mechatronics
Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis, including hand calculations and FEA
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA)
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
