Support the design and development of avionics hardware subsystems that meet Blue Origin's needs for a variety of liquid propulsion rocket engines
Contribute to requirements development and decomposition
Support technical trade studies
Participate in risk management
Support integration, verification, and qualification of avionics hardware through environmental testing and flight certification
Work with the Engines Design Office and cross-functional teams to apply technical standards and processes
Mentor less-experienced team members in avionics systems engineering
Share lessons learned across Blue Engines programs to continuously improve avionics and engine control hardware development
Requirements
B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in avionics hardware, including systems engineering, electrical design and analysis, or verification/qualification/validation
Experience in systems engineering in aerospace or defense, including requirements development (decomposition and allocation), verification and validation, and integration and test
Understanding of electronics hardware design processes including schematic review, component selection, derating analysis, and thermal/mechanical packaging
Experience with DO-254 hardware development assurance or equivalent hardware certification processes
Experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing
Familiarity with harness/cable design, connector selection, and EMI/EMC considerations
Familiarity with ARP4754 development assurance processes
