Role Overview
- Assist in identifying new land acquisition opportunities that align with the Division's land strategy.
- Conduct research, provide analysis, and manage land data.
- Contact landowners in specific target areas directly.
- Use maps to gather information on specific sites or areas.
- Maintain a tracking log of viable tracts and comparable transactions.
- Follow municipal agendas weekly to understand active projects.
- Establish relationships with landowners, brokers, and other community members.
- Due diligence assistance with zoning, architectural requirements, and financial analysis.
- Utilize mapping tools to create exhibits and track land opportunities.
- Assist in preparing financial proformas and updating them as assumptions change.
- Populate CMAs to understand proposed pricing compared to other communities.
- Prepare detailed land packages for submittal to the Asset Management Committee.
Requirements
- Experience in land acquisitions, planning, and development.
- Knowledge and existing relationships of/in the local land market.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports or legal documents.
- Capacity to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities of direct reports.
