Perform testing and characterization of graphene photonics devices, including modulators, photodetectors, integrated circuits, and optical I/O components.
Execute electrical, optical, and optoelectronic measurements to validate device performance against specifications and quality requirements.
Support testing of PIC, EIC, and EPIC devices using advanced characterization equipment, including optical analyzers, photodetection systems, and RF test instruments.
Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures; coordinate maintenance and repairs with vendors.
Collect, analyze, and document characterization data, generate test reports, and maintain measurement and reliability databases to support statistical process control (SPC), yield monitoring, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
Assist in the implementation and optimization of test procedures, automated measurement solutions, and production test processes.
Support Design-for-Test (DFT) validation, supplier qualification activities, and incoming material characterization.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, work instructions, and laboratory records.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance test efficiency, data quality, and laboratory operations.
Requirements
B.S. in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field; or a completed vocational training with relevant industry experience.
2+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor, photonic, or optoelectronic device testing and characterization.
Experience working in a laboratory, cleanroom, manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with semiconductor and photonic characterization equipment, including wafer-level measurement systems, electrical and optical probing, and advanced test instrumentation.
Experience with automated test routines and measurement software using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar tools for data acquisition, analysis, and visualization.
Knowledge of measurement uncertainty, calibration procedures, quality control practices, and laboratory documentation standards.
Experience maintaining laboratory equipment and supporting equipment uptime through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Understanding of cleanroom protocols, contamination control, ESD guidelines, and optical safety procedures.
