In collaboration with the MLT program director, review and develop MLT curriculum.
Participate in teaching courses using relevant medical laboratory technology & equipment.
Evaluate student achievement.
Contribute to the development of MLT program curriculum, policy, and procedures.
Model professional behaviors, ethics, and appearance.
Assess program outcomes.
Implement and maintain lab safety procedures
In coordination with the MLT Program Director, use and maintain lab equipment (analyzers, microscopes, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Candidates who do not currently possess a master’s degree in an approved discipline must earn one within 3 years of their appointment to the position.
Attainment of the master’s degree is required to assume Program Director responsibilities.
ASCP-BOC Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist
A minimum of two years (4,000 hours) of occupational experience of which at least one year (2,000 hours) shall be within 5 years prior to the date of appointment
Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in related content areas
Ability to obtain driver’s license and insurance coverage in accordance with college policy.
