Production Supervisor – Electronics, 1st Shift

Role Overview

• Supervise the day-to-day manufacturing operations and performance of employees
• Plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and recommend improvements
• Control manpower and materials needed to complete jobs accurately and on time
• Assist in continuous improvement activities and evaluate manufacturing processes
• Supervise the work of manufacturing employees and track absenteeism
• Provide employee mentoring and development
• Make employment decisions and provide training to employees
• Ensure employees’ personal safety with safety training
• Manage departmental performance measures and provide regular progress reports

Requirements

• 5-7 years progressive experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 3 years of experience directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce
• Holds a High School diploma or GED; A Bachelors Degree is a plus
• Intermediate computer skills including experience using the MS Office suite, a business planning and inventory system
• Extensive knowledge and leadership in the principles and practice of Lean, Six Sigma, 5P and/or other continuous improvement models
