Conduct analyses of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods checking for quality and ensure that they meet necessary specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to verify product conformance.
Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods
Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data
Complete documentation necessary for the support of testing procedures, including inventory forms, data capture forms and equipment logbooks
Document and report inspection results, deviations, and non-conformances.
Perform daily NCR cart audits to ensure all non-conforming materials are properly identified, documented, and segregated.
Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment
Perform routine checks throughout the day to monitor processing, packaging, formulation, and sanitation.
Work with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Assess analytical and testing methods and procedures to determine how they can be improved in the future
Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor/QE
Requirements
Has a High school diploma or equivalent
Possesses 5 years progressive experience in quality control and inspection or its equivalent technical degree and work experience
Has a 2 or 4-year technical degree (preferred)
Holds Quality certifications (preferred)
Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
Has analytical abilities with good attention to detail
Is proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Has experience working with quality management systems
Has experience with the use of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, etc.
