About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for ongoing maintenance and repair of contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment
Responsible for technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects
Provide 24x7 “on-call” services as required
Perform required preventative maintenance service to equipment under contract as scheduled
Maintain and safeguard company-issued equipment, tools, and instruments
Coordinate and manage all on-site subcontractors hired by PSS as necessary
Ensure that work is performed to PSS standards
Complete all paperwork, including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Reports, and other job required reports timely and accurately
Provide technical support to customers upon request
Maintain Technical documentation for study and/or review
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications Level II Technician requires three years of field experience servicing generator systems with some experience on 500kw+
Proficient Level III Technician requires six years of field experience servicing generator systems with extensive experience on 500KW+
Proficient with preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, ATS repairs, controller retrofits and Loadbanking equipment
Expert in preventative maintenance, paralleling switch gear, retrofitting advanced controls and Loadbanking equipment
Ability to perform triennial maintenance, engine diagnostics, fuel system priming and replacing failed engine components
All Candidates need a High School diploma or GED equivalent
Related military experience or equivalent field experience
Expert troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals and policies and procedures
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background check, drug testing and MVR clearance.
