Role Overview

• Review title work and prepare title binders/commitments for Real Estate closings
• Ensures that the title on properties are valid
• Examines all documentation, including mortgages, liens, contracts, etc. to verify factors such as ownership or restrictions
• Researches all title evidence required
• Obtains descriptions of properties and names of involved parties
• Examines individual titles to determine if any restrictions apply
• Prepares reports that describe any title obstructions
• Consults with pre-closer regarding title-related information
• Enters data in SoftPro Select to create title binder/commitment

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as a title examiner
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Service orientation
• Time management
• Active listening
• Problem solving
• SoftPro Select experience is preferred
