Role Overview
- Determine assessment and controls organizational objectives
- Provide strategic guidance for Customs import and export declaration controls monitoring
- Implement and oversee customs process documentation, aligning stakeholders to achieve results
- Collaborate with other members of the organization to verify compliance and adherence to released company-wide policies and procedures
- Leverage Trade Regulation expertise, knowledge of regulators’ intent, and understanding of RTX’s core business processes to ensure controls and recommended corrective actions yield a balanced risk portfolio
- Develop and deliver training
- Identify and report any potential violations of trade compliance laws and compliance violations
Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 8 years prior relevant Customs and/or Global Trade experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Licensed Customs Broker / Certified Customs Specialist / or demonstrated experience in these areas
- Experience in CFR19 U.S. Customs regulations with experience in any of these areas; HS Classification, Free Trade Agreement qualification, Customs Valuations, Country of Origin determination
