Team leadership and development: Lead engineering teams, provide leadership and mentoring, conduct salary and performance reviews, and support the success and career development of team members
Technical vision and strategy: Work closely with engineering leadership to shape the engineering culture and align platform strategies with overall business objectives. Actively promote the “Platform as a Product” mindset
Developer Experience (DevEx): Drive the strategy and implementation of tools and processes that empower developers. Focus on our internal developer portal (Backstage), seamless API gateways (Tyk), and optimizing the “Golden Paths” for software delivery
Cross-functional collaboration: Act as an advocate for internal and external developers, run product discovery and collect feedback to continuously evolve and improve our PayOS ecosystem

Proven experience building and leading teams that have developed, delivered and operated developer tools, APIs, or Internal Developer Platforms (IDP)
Several years of hands-on experience in software or platform engineering
Deep understanding of Developer Experience (DevEx) principles and the approach of treating platforms as products
Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, dynamic environment
Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication in English; German is a plus
Bonus: Experience successfully working with tools such as Backstage, API gateways, or cloud-native CI/CD ecosystems
