We are seeking an experienced Systems Design & Integration Engineer to design and coordinate fully integrated home automation and smart building systems.
The role involves developing system architectures for lighting control, motorised blinds, power distribution, audio-visual systems, security, access control, and centralised control platforms.
You will produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation while ensuring designs align with project budgets and client requirements.
System Design and Integration Design: Fully integrated home automation systems including lighting control, motorised blinds/shading, power distribution, audio-visual systems, security alarms, access control, centralised control systems and develop system architectures suitable for construction and commissioning.
Produce detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation. Adapt designs to suit project budgets and client requirements.
Drawing review and technical coordination Review and interpret MEP and electrical drawings. Understand system interfaces, intent, and coordination requirements.
Identify clashes, inconsistencies, missing information, and design risks. Raise RFIs and clarification points early in the design process.
Lead technical clarification discussions with consultants and project teams.
Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers, Installers, Electricians, External consultants and participate in technical meetings and design reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering or any related field
4–5+ years in a systems design role within: Home automation, Smart buildings, AV systems Building services
Strong MEP or electrical design background
Proven experience producing accurate take-offs from electrical drawings
Strong understanding of electrical layouts and low-voltage systems
Knowledge of lighting control systems, AV distribution, security and access control, blind control systems, low-voltage infrastructure and understanding of system architectures and integration principles
Proficient in AutoCAD or similar design/documentation tools
