About this role
Role Overview
Manages all maintenance activities associated with SWPF Facilities or a combination of SRMC facilities as directed by the company.
Manages resources to ensure staffing and budget requirements are met.
Selects and qualifies maintenance personnel.
Enhances morale and performance of employees through effective coaching and leadership to increase productivity and efficiency.
Fosters an environment in which all work is performed utilizing DOE/INPO Conduct of Operations Standards and HPI tools within a Safety Conscious Work Environment.
Oversees departmental implementation of safety, training, environmental and quality programs.
Interacts on a frequent basis with SRMC senior executives and DOE for planning, program development, relationship enhancement and problem-resolution purposes.
Manages the maintenance training program in accordance with the qualification plan to ensure personnel are trained and qualified to support milestones.
Manages the interface and prompt response, resolution and closure of all compliance issues resulting from self-assessments and independent reviews by ORR, QA, DOE, DNFSB and other auditing groups.
Manages the development and implementation of maintenance programs to ensure compliance with Conduct of Maintenance, DOE Order 4340.4B.
Requirements
BS in Engineering or Science (e.g. Physics, Chemistry) and progressive professional experience in engineering, maintenance and/or operations; or BS in a non-technical degree and progressive professional experience in engineering, maintenance and/or operations; or High School Diploma and progressive experience/secondary education in a technical, engineering or operations field.
Experience must include a broad spectrum of work experiences.
Able to apply advanced technical, engineering, and scientific concepts to process equipment problems
Previous leadership/management experience dealing with a broad range of employees, cultural backgrounds, education, and experience in a large multi-disciplined organization.
In depth knowledge of Site policies and procedures related to the jobs function
