Create and Implement High-Quality Environments: Develop high-quality environment content with a particular focus on terrain, geology, and natural landscapes, using a combination of procedural and handcrafted techniques aligned with the game’s artistic vision and technical constraints
Own Terrain & Landscape Workflows: Create and refine terrain using heightfield-based workflows across tools such as Houdini and Gaea, generating masks and data that drive believable, scalable world building
Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with the Art Leads, Game Designers, and Technical Artists to ensure environments are visually compelling, gameplay-optimised, and meet performance targets
Leverage Advanced Tools and Techniques: Utilise Houdini and Gaea for terrain generation, mask creation and geology scatters, Substance Designer to process masks and develop supporting textures, and Unreal Engine for landscape sculpting and material/shader setup
Mentor and Guide the Environment Art Team: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level artists, maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a culture of creativity and excellence
Contribute to Reviews and Feedback: Participate in critiques and reviews of environment art, offering constructive feedback to ensure work meets both artistic and gameplay requirements
