Role Overview
- Ensure safe and effective installation, commissioning, and maintenance of CMbE machinery
- Maintain and enhance electrical and software control systems, including modifications to PLC, HMI, VFD, and servo drive software
- Provide remote technical support to customers
- Assist Electrical Engineering Department during periods of reduced service demand, ensuring consistent and high-quality technical support
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical service and commissioning of high-speed machinery
- Apprentice trained and hold a minimum NVQ L3 in Electrical Engineering discipline
- Experience as an Electrical or Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience
- Sound understanding of regenerative and dynamic braking techniques
- Strong knowledge of industrial Ethernet networks such as EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and PROFIsafe
- Familiarity with legacy systems including PROFIBUS and DeviceNet
- Experience with IFM and Turck sensors and instrumentation covering pressure, temperature, proximity, and flow devices
- Solid understanding of control panel design with working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical (2017)
- Familiarity with safety PLC systems including VFD Safe Torque Off (STO) and safe stop functions
