About this role
Role Overview
- Design, execute, and analyze OS-level performance benchmarks and workloads
- Communicate technical results and best practices to customers and internal teams
- Conduct statistical analysis and utilize monitoring tools like Grafana, PCP, and Prometheus
- Drive projects to completion with a focus on high-quality, repeatable deliverables
- Partner with Engineering and Product Management to resolve performance issues and characterize RHIVOS
- Utilize AI tools in Software development lifecycle, leveraging Agents and LLMs to support Performance engineering activities
Requirements
- 7+ years in software engineering
- Expert in OS-level performance benchmarking, low-level testing, kernel tuning, and RHEL/RHIVOS optimization
- Strong familiarity with RHEL/Linux operating systems
- Python expertise, scripting, automation, and Ansible
- Experienced in presenting technical analysis to stakeholders
- Proficiency in leveraging and guiding AI tools (LLMs, code assistants)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven project ownership and ability to work independently
- Strong organization, documentation, and decision-making skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management
