Role Overview
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in CIT Areas
- Develop and implement legal strategies for risk management
- Provide legal advice on regulatory matters and contract negotiations
- Represent the bank in legal proceedings
- Conduct legal research and training for employees
- Maintain knowledge of industry regulations
Requirements
- Senior qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent)
- Relevant post-qualification experience
- Experience in software/fintech, commercial contracts, payments, financial services, electronic trading
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in advising on and negotiating commercial/technology contracts
- Extensive experience in advising on technology projects, cloud, strategic AI solutions, SaaS
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate Barclays’ Values and Mindset
