As part of the Civil Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (CLSAC), you’ll join a purpose-driven, statewide team dedicated to improving access to justice for Aboriginal people across regional and remote NSW.
Deliver outreach services to Aboriginal communities, building strong community connections while providing high-quality legal advice, minor assistance and casework across a broad range of civil law matters.
Work closely with the Family Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (FamAC) and Aboriginal Field Officers to deliver holistic, culturally responsive services.
Be part of a collaborative and highly respected team spanning Central Sydney, Lismore, Orange and Nowra.
Requirements
Applicants for this role must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. You will be prompted in your online application to provide information about how you satisfy this requirement.
Hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency
Undertake relevant pre-employment checks such as Working with Children Check, Criminal Record Check and Conduct Service Check
Possess legal qualification/s
Be admitted or eligible for admission as a legal practitioner in NSW
Provide a current NSW Practising Certificate before you start work with us
Be willing to travel to regional and metropolitan offices as required
