About this role
Role Overview
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions
- Create clear, well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation for Agile delivery teams
- Partner with technology teams to support solutions leveraging mainframe systems, including understanding data flows, interfaces, and downstream impacts
- Act as a liaison between business partners and IT to ensure requirements are accurately understood and delivered
- Proactively identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, offering solution-based recommendations
- Support testing, validation, and implementation activities to ensure solutions meet business needs
Requirements
- Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role
- Direct mainframe experience or demonstrated ability and willingness to learn mainframe technologies
- Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements
- Hands-on experience creating user stories in an Agile environment
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Proactive, solutions-based approach to problem solving
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments
- Familiarity with financial services or enterprise-scale systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
