Head of Compliance, Vice President

Role Overview

• Lead and manage the SSCSIL Compliance team within the second line of defence framework
• Act as PCF‑12 under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness & Probity Regime
• Provide expert advice, oversight, and credible challenge on compliance and conduct risk matters
• Own and oversee the SSCSIL Core Compliance Risk Assessment (CCRA)
• Deliver compliance risk opinions and present regularly to the Board and Risk Committee
• Oversee risk‑based compliance monitoring and testing programmes
• Act as senior liaison with the Central Bank of Ireland and other regulators
• Coordinate and support regulatory inspections, reviews, and ongoing supervisory engagement
• Represent Compliance at Board, Executive Committee, and key governance forums
• Oversee second‑line compliance coverage for Depositary and Custodial activities

Requirements

• University degree in finance, accounting, banking, law, or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services, with a strong compliance focus
• Experience in Depositary, Custody, or Fund Services strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a PCF or other senior control function beneficial
• Professional compliance qualification or diploma advantageous
