About this role

Complete Design and Drafting for Electrical and Control packages
Knowledge of control panel BOM, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and loop drawings for industrial projects
Design calculations including voltage drop, lighting levels, cable tray fill and heat trace wattage
Check layouts, review overall presentation, and maintain quality control of designs
Review project documents for scope, presentation and technical accuracy
Establish good working relationships and communicate with leads, department managers, clients and other engineering disciplines

Diploma in Electrical Design, Electrical Engineering Technology
Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical and control design for oil & gas or similar process industries
Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and how to apply it in designs
Proven expertise using AutoCAD and 3D design / drafting, preferably AutoCAD 3D
Experience with databases is beneficial
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Team player, but also able to work independently and take responsibility
Able to manage multiple tasks in a highly scheduled environment.
